Kamala Harris is leading Donald Trump by nine points in a key battleground state, a new poll on Tuesday revealed. The survey also showed she was leading the former president in two other critical states – albeit by a smaller margin.....CLICK HERE TO READ THE FULL ARTICLE>>>

The Independent Center poll found Harris leads Trump 51% to 42% in Wisconsin , a state Democrats consider part of their ‘blue wall,’ which is a series of three states they think are essential to winning the White House.

In the other two ‘blue wall’ states – Michigan and Pennsylvania – Harris is leading Trump by five points – 49% to 43% – and by four points – 49% to 45% – respectively.

Harris has captured momentum in the race ever since she replaced Joe Biden as the Democratic presidential nominee. Biden was trailing Trump in the polls. Biden won all three states in the 2020 election but Trump had won them in the 2016 contest, the year he beat Hillary Clinton.

A New York Times/Siena poll over the weekend found similar results: Harris had moved ahead of Trump by four points in Michigan , Pennsylvania and Wisconsin . Among likely voters in each state, 50 percent said they would likely vote for Harris while 46 for Trump.

Harris is now in a stronger position than Biden was in May. She is expected to get even more momentum coming out of next week’s Democratic convention. The vice president is even challenging Trump in his home state of Florida.

A USA TODAY/Suffolk University/WSVN-TV survey found Trump with 47% while Harris has 42% support in the Sunshine State. But the poll has a 4.4 percent margin of error, meaning Harris is within ‘striking distance’ of the Republican presidential nominee with less than three months to go before Election Day.

The new poll is the smallest gap between the former president and Harris in the state since she took over the top of the Democratic presidential ticket with President Biden’s exit from the presidential race in July.

Florida was once considered the biggest presidential battleground state in the country, but it has been trending red in recent elections. The last Democrat to win the state in a presidential election was former President Obama in 2012. Trump won the state in 2016 and in 2020 The data across various polls has been consistent in showing Harris with the advantage.

Harris leads Trump by 1.1% t the RealClearPolitics polling average. It led polling guru Frank Luntz, who has been called ‘The Nostradamus of pollsters,’ to argue that, as of this week, Harris is in the lead over Trump. Luntz gave his analysis of the 2024 presidential race on Wednesday during a zoom event with No Labels, a nonpartisan political group.

‘Make no mistake, Trump’s advantage with the Republican Convention after that ended is gone. It is wiped away. And if the election were held today, I actually believe that Harris would beat Trump. That’s how much things have changed over the last two weeks,’ he said.

Luntz also pointed out, with a little more than three months to go before the November 5th election, the contest ‘is up for grabs.’ And he had advice for each contender on how to win. ‘If this campaign is about inflation and immigration, Donald Trump wins. If it’s about the attributes of the candidates, Kamala Harris wins,’ he said.

‘Trump is disliked as a person,’ Luntz noted but acknowledged voters are happy with how Trump ran the country as president. But Joe Biden ‘s administration is not well liked, he said, which hurts Harris – although ‘she has the energy and excitement that voters do want.’ He said he would advise Trump to talk about the border, immigration, and the economy while Harris should focus on her vision for the country.

Trump, as of late, has been focused on personal attacks on Harris, offering two new nicknames in the past week – ‘Kamabla’ and ‘Kamala Crash.’ He’s also questioned whether the first black president, is actually black.

Harris has a black father and Indian mother. Harris, for her part, has mocked Trump for his statements and focused on his personal failings, including his recent conviction in New York tied to a hush money payment to Stormy Daniels.
