According to reports, MCA Ali Mwenda was injured after his Subaru Impreza Impreza was involved in a head-on collision involving a Toyota along Meru – Embu road at Kivue Gatunduri Bridge.
The Subaru was immediately reduced to ashes after catching fire from the impact. From the video shared from the scene, the car could be seen burning as rescuers rushed to the scene to evacuate the occupants.
He was, however, reported to be in stable condition, and has been airlifted to Nairobi for specialised treatment.
From the photos shared, the injured MCA could be seen inside an ambulance, before a helicopter landed and led his evacuation to hospital.
