This decision, made by Ruto’s private secretary Reuben Miayo, has left him unaware of state functions.

“About a week ago, we were removed from that diary so we were not able to follow what was going on,” Gachagua explained. “When I am aware of where the President is, I am always there.

When I am not aware, there is nothing I can do about it.” He emphasized the importance of this communication channel, stating, “It is a WhatsApp group and it’s updated as we go on, so we keep on aligning. Expressing frustration, Gachagua labeled the move as “mischievous,” suggesting it aims to undermine his service as Deputy President and potentially justify an impeachment motion against him.

He asserted that this exclusion is designed to make him appear disrespectful or negligent in his duties. “There is mischief to remove me from the Presidential diary so that once I do not attend Presidential events, it can be purported that I am absconding duty,” he stated.

Gachagua urged his boss to ensure his team is reinstated in the presidential diary, underscoring his role as the principal assistant to the President. “I am the DP elected by the people, and it is only right and fair that I have access to the presidential diary so that I can align his schedule with mine,” he noted. “If I am in the dark and don’t know what is happening, I am not an angel to know exactly where he will be at what time.”

He reiterated his commitment to his role, describing himself as a “workaholic” and an “obedient public officer.” Gachagua concluded by calling on those around the presidency to avoid creating conflict between him and the President, affirming his respect for Ruto and his office. “I would be the last person to attend events or come late,” he said…CLICK HERE FOR MORE ARTICLE>>>
