According ESPN FC, La Liga President Mr Javier Tebas claimed that Barcelona might not be able to sign new Players next summer because of the financial situation of the Catalans.
This could mean that the club would have to embark on a massive clear out in the summer order to reduce their wage bill and make ways for possible additions.
The likes of Frenkie De Jong, Ferran Torres, Ansu Fati and Raphinha have been suggested as the possible Players that Barcelona could put on sale next summer but, an exit from Spotify Camp Nou next summer might not be possible for Frenkie De Jong, given the current midfield situation of the Catalans.
Even Sergio Roberto who has made less impact this season has gotten a new contract. There’s no way Barcelona is going to sell Frenkie De Jong.
The case might not be same for Ansu Fati, Raphinha and Ferran Torres because the trio have struggled to remain consistent at the Club.
Ansu Fati was deemed to be the next Star at Barcelona and the Catalans even gave him the legendary shirt number 10 but the Spanish National have struggled with injury.
Ferran Torres has been inconsistent since he joined Barcelona from Manchester City about 2 years ago while Raphinha has been unable to replicate his good form at Leeds United for Barcelona.
If Barcelona decides to sell Ansu Fati, Raphinha and Ferran Torres in the summer, the Club might not be able get a huge payday on the Players.
Raphinha was signed last summer for over £50million. There’s no club that would want to pay that amount of money next summer to sign him, and It’s the same for Ferran Torres.
Ansu Fati might still be able to command an expensive fee because he’s younger but his Injury records might not made him a top candidate for European clubs to consider.
