Barcelona, AC Milan, Ajax And 4 Other European Clubs Have Eyes On Flying Eagles Stars

Barcelona, AC Milan, Ajax and four other European clubs have sent their scouts to monitor the Nigerian U20 team in the World Cup games in Argentina.

The scouts in reports were in Mendoza to see the young Nigerian players who may be of interest in the near future.

Although names have not been thrown into the mix as the players who the scouts are interested in, Daniel Daga, Abel Ogwuche and Jude Sunday have been the three standout players at the tournament for the Flying Eagles.

Daniel kept Italy U20 Starboy and captain, Cesare Casadei on check on Wednesday as the Eagles went on to make it two wins from two, Ogwuche has emerged as the go-to player in defense, and Jude Sunday shone against Dominican Republic.

Another player who has been considered as the ‘next big thing’ for Nigerian football is Victor Eletu. The youngster has been likened to greats of the Nigerian game in John Obi Mikel and Sunday Oliseh, due to his incredible vision and passing range.

The AC Milan wonderkid has attracted interest from top European clubs, and has been monitored long before the World Cup.

The Flying Eagles arrived in Bueno Aires on Thursday afternoon, from Mendoza, where they played and won their first two games of the FIFA U20 World Cup tournament.

They will face off against Brazil on Saturday, with scouts expected to be heavily in attendance at the Estadio Unico Diego Maradona in La Plata.
