At the beginning of the campaign, nobody could have predicted the Gunners would be in this circumstance.

They have, however, defied predictions and are in a fantastic position to end their title drought.

Mikel Arteta’s team will be out of action for the next two weeks following the 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace at the weekend due to their players’ international commitments.

In the start of the following month, they return to the field. We examine Arsenal’s April schedule.

1. Liverpool – April 9 (A)

Due to their struggles this year, Jürgen Klopp’s team is in danger of missing out on a spot in the top four.

Their Champions League elimination came as a result of a catastrophic 6-2 overall loss to Real Madrid in their round of 16 match.

At the Emirates Stadium in October, the north Londoners defeated Liverpool 3-2 in an outstanding victory.

Before Bukayo Saka scored the game-winning goal from the penalty spot, they twice held the lead in the match before the Reds pulled them back.

Yet, Mikel Arteta has failed to preside over a victory at Anfield since his appointment in December 2019, and Arsenal’s previous record there is dismal.

2. Manchester City – April 26 (A)

After the break, Pep Guardiola’s team will be hungry to carry on in the destructive fashion they have been in recent weeks.

They remain on track to win the Champions League and FA Cup after crushing RB Leipzig and Burnley in their past two games.

Arsenal will have their work cut out for them when they face the defending champions on their own field after losing 3-1 to City at the Emirates Stadium.

3. Chelsea – April 29 (H)

Saturday’s depressing 2-2 stalemate between Chelsea and Everton at home dealt a serious damage to their chances of finishing in the top four.

Graham Potter, their manager, has recently observed an improvement in their circumstances.

The Blues have gone four games without losing, winning matches against Leeds United, Borussia Dortmund, and Leicester City.
