Apparently, in a display of solidarity, “Venezuelan police officers and military personnel publicly removed their uniforms, refusing to carry out government orders to suppress protesters, and instead stood in unity with the people, echoing the growing chorus of resistance against the bad regime.”
Thousands of protesters took to the streets on central Caracas, several citizens walking for miles from slums on the mountains surrounding the city, towards the presidential palace, opposing the electoral victory claimed by President Nicolás Maduro in the general elections.
