In a message posted on his official social media accounts, Dr Miguna Miguna has requested Kenyans to fill the streets of Nairobi on that day, as a sign of standing in solidarity with protesters who have been killed by police officers in the past one month.

The self proclaimed General has also requested Kenyans to offer transport and accommodation to their colleagues who will be joining them in Nairobi for the protests from upcountry. It added that this will be a day for Kenyans to reclaim back their motherland.

“Let Nairobi fill to the brink with millions of Kenyans on August 8, 2024. Let’s do it for all the patriots who have been murdered by @WilliamsRuto. Mobilize everyone you can. Offer transport and accommodation for everyone traveling from upcountry. We must reclaim our motherland.” He wrote

Miguna has been the greatest proponent of the Gen Z led protests, that began in the second half of the month of June of this year. The youths have been putting pressure on President William Ruto and his administration as they demand for good governance and accountability from people holding public offices.
