A family has opened up about a heartbreaking turn of events concerning their beloved kin. Edith Muthoni Muriithi vividly recalled discovering delicate and heart-wrenching information about her granddaughter. Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Mukami, who had been staying with a guardian since she was 10, fell sick when she was in Form 3. Muthoni, a farmer, said her granddaughter had never gotten better since then, and efforts to visit her in time bore no fruit, as Mukami’s guardians always came up with excuses for not seeing their kin.

It was not long before Embu granny Muthoni heard of the passing away of her grandchild, who was abandoned by her mother when she was only five years old.

Despite her efforts to be involved in the funeral arrangements, Muthoni said the sponsor offered to cater for everything and let Muthoni and her family not worry.

It was only at the burial that they saw their teenage loved one, who was buried in a wedding gown. The grieving family claimed their late kin was haunting them, making them doubt if they had buried the wrong body.
