Tijani, according to reports emanating from the Cheetahs camp, sprained his ankle in training this week. The medical staff are however working hard to ensure he is available for the team’s home clash with the Mediterranean Knights of Libya next week Tuesday.
The 27-year-old starred in Benin Republic’s 2-1 victory over the Super Eagles in June. His absence will be a big blow for head coach, Gernot Rohr, who will be hoping for another win against their neighbours.
