In a statement on Thursday, July 18, Kipkorir said the Gen Zs have given him hope that the country can be free from tribalism and nepotism. He pointed out that his dream has always been to see Kenya free of violence, police brutality, and corruption.

“Gen Z has given me hope that Kenya without tribalism, corruption, nepotism & cronyism is possible. A Kenya that values all her children over tribe, creed, class, gender & age. A Kenya without political violence. A Kenya where police don’t kill or abduct. A Kenya that you don’t need to bribe to get tenders from the government or bribe to be paid for unpaid bills,” Kipkorir said.

Kipkorir disclosed that he supported ODM leader Raila Odinga because he believed Raila would have saved the country from all its challenges.

However, he pointed out that Gen Zs have been able to achieve much despite not having an outright leader.

The flamboyant lawyer noted that he was saddened by recent political moves by the ODM leader, which he said were meant to derail the transformative moment being pushed by Gen Zs.

“It was a Kenya that for long I believed it is a Canaan that Raila Odinga will lead us. Now that Baba was unable to lead us & gen z without a leader has taken the baton, it saddens me that Baba wants to derail this transformative moment,” he added.

Kipkorir announced his withdrawal of support for the former prime minister and stated his intention to now support the Gen Zs..

“Between Gen Z & Raila Odinga, I choose gen z. with the greatest respect for his hitherto contribution to our democracy, I hereby end my support for Baba that began in 2005. I hope & pray Gen Z will lead us to Canaan in my lifetime. My allegiance & loyalty to Raila Odinga ended today .. adieu baba!” he stated.

Speaking during the ODM Party Parliamentary Group meeting on Wednesday, July 17, the ODM leader warned that the ‘Ruto must go’ push might have dire consequences.

According to Raila, those pushing for Ruto’s ouster might not be aware of the consequences of having him out of power…CONTINUE READING>>
