What did the Mombasa man say?
In a video circulating online, an elderly man dressed in a blue Kaunda suit is seen stepping out of a vehicle as he approaches the traffic officer.
The elderly man then pointed at the officer, warning that he would have recorded a video of the officer’s actions if he had attempted to solicit a bribe from the matatu he was standing beside.
“If you would have taken a bribe, if you would have taken, I would’ve taken a film,” the man said.
The officer, appearing unfazed, walked past the man and proceeded to the other side of the matatu, instructing the driver to move the vehicle.
The man then called out traffic officers, accusing them of demanding bribes from public service vehicle drivers.
