Via his X page, the activist who has been vocal about criticising President William Ruto’s government noted he will be in Narok, where he will continue to sensitize residents.

Mashujaa Day celebrations are usually hosted every October 20 to honour heroes in the country.

He added that he would not attend the Uhuru Park event because he was unaware of its motives or financiers.

“I do not know their intentions or who is behind the function. Again, politics in Kenya at the moment is hot and people are so angry. There are so many things happening, including the deputy president’s impeachment,” he said.

Morara also added that he thought it wise not to hold any function in Nairobi County as there was a high possibility that Rigathi Gachagua would be impeached.

According to him, there may be fracas in public meetings perpetrated by either the president or his deputy’s people.
