The accident has happened on Sunday morning involving a fourteen seater matatu that collided head on with a trailer.
Mrs. Peris Kimani who is the western police commander has confirmed the sad news saying the eight who perished were in the matatu.
This comes after the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) reported that over three thousand innocent Kenyans perished in the grisly road accident in last year.
In conclusion, I take this opportunity to humbly request our drivers to adhere to the traffic rules and ensure the cases of road accidents are reduced in this new year. My heartfelt condolences to the family members of the deceased eight people and may their souls rest in eternal peace.
