A video featuring Chief Simon Wechuli, which had been online for over a year, recently gained traction for his unique way of describing a crime scene, leaving many in fits of laughter.

In the viral video, Wechuli recounted a domestic dispute in his community: “The young man asked, ‘Mama umepika mboka gani leo?’

The mother responded, ‘Nimeunda misheveve.’

He said, “Sitaki misheveve, nataka sarati.’ Then the son began biting the old man’s fingers, like he was chewing omena (small fish), while calculating how to subtract years from the old manโ€™s lifeโ€ฆ”

For those unfamiliar, “misheveve” refers to pumpkin leaves.

In an interview with West FM on October 14, 2024, Chief Wechuli explained the backstory behind the incident.

He described how a son got into an argument with his mother over a meal, and in the ensuing conflict, things took a violent turn as the father intervened to protect his wife.
