TheTwendi Twendihitmaker, known for her energetic performances, recently shared her emotional story during a church service at Bishop Ben Kiengeiโs JCM. Syokau tearfully opened up about the tough times she has been facing as a single mother, explaining that her son has been unwell and has gone without food for weeks.
Speaking at the service on Sunday, October 13, Syokau revealed that her prominent baby daddy abandoned her and their son, leaving her homeless and struggling to survive.
She recounted how she ended up doing menial jobs, including working as a house help, to make ends meet.
โWe are not able to feed. In fact, today we borrowed money to take an Uber to church,โ Syokau told the congregation, adding that her sonโs health has been deteriorating.
The gospel singer shared that her son was severely ill in 2023, forcing her to take out loans to cover medical expenses after her requests for help from fellow gospel artists went unanswered.
โMy son is hungry,โ she said, expressing her deep frustration over the lack of support from those she once counted on.
Bishop Ben Kiengei, in response, encouraged Syokau to be mindful of her words and actions, suggesting that some of the challenges she faces may have spiritual roots. He advised her to focus on making positive changes in her life for the sake of her childโs future.
