I relocated to a new house during the second semester of my first year. Initially, I stayed with a roommate, but due to some misunderstandings, I decided to move out. Hereโs my story.
In the house I moved into, I had a neighbor who was also a student, but he was in Level 200 at the time. Now, heโs in Level 300. If we were in senior high school, I would have considered him my senior. Long story short, I like making friends with people around me.
One afternoon, our lecture was canceled, so I decided to prepare something for myself. As soon as I was done cooking, I saw my neighbor coming back from lectures. I thought of sharing my food with him. From there, we became friends. Letโs call my neighbor โKissy.โ
One day, I was in my room when I heard two guys talking. I realized it was my neighbor and his best friend. I overheard Kissy saying, โI have a new neighbor, and sheโs a nice girl.โ His friend replied, โIf you like her, make your move.โ
But mind you, I never liked my neighbor in that way; I just saw him as a brother. Fast forward, my neighbor introduced me to his best friend. His friendโs name was the same as my exโs, so I didnโt vibe with him at first. Letโs call his friend โK.โ
One day, I was very sad and needed someone to talk to, but my neighbor was busy. So, he called K to keep me company. K brought his laptop along, and since I had a guy in the house who also had a girlfriend, we started watching funny videos that made me happy.
As we continued watching different movies, I started feeling sleepy, but K didnโt allow me to sleep. He kept insisting we watch another movie, which eventually led to us having sex.
After the sex, he left. POV: I didnโt regret it; I really liked it. However, I told myself it was never going to happen again. But the next day, he came around, and we had sex again. I started developing feelings for him, but I didnโt want him to know. He also played the hard guy, so I didnโt take him seriously.
The more we had sex, the more I loved him. I started giving my boyfriend attitudeโI wouldnโt answer his calls or reply to his messages. Around that time, my boyfriend was about to travel to the States for his masterโs degree because he was a doctor here in Ghana. He was supposed to travel with me, but due to how I was treating him, he went with his ex-girlfriend instead. He later called me and told me to move on.
Now, K has also started misbehavingโcheating, not checking up on me, and not having sex with me. Later, I found out he was having an affair with someone else. Iโm heartbroken. Iโve lost everythingโmy boyfriend and now him.
So, I started giving K attitude, hoping he would change, but he kept misbehaving. As Iโm talking to you now, K still comes to my place since he stays in the same house as his friend. He eats my food, but every time I see him, I get angry. My inner voice tells me to poison him.
