Wandayi, a political ally of ODM leader Raila Odinga, stated that the Nyanza region, which has traditionally backed the opposition leader, will shift its support to Ruto in the upcoming elections. This change follows Rutoโs co-opting of some ODM leaders into his administration.

โI was in the opposition. However, the country is more important than individuals or political parties. That is why, when President William Ruto invited me to join his government, I accepted without hesitation,โ he said.
โPresident William Ruto has created a government that includes every Kenyan and every community, enabling citizens to unite and work together for development,โ he remarked during a tour of Kericho County.
