These two top clubs have been enjoying a successful season.
Pep Guardiola side recently overtook Arsenal in the premier league, and are now very close to winning the title.
They also have the opportunity to win another cup if they defeat Manchester United in the FA Cup.
Real Madrid on the other hand have already won a few trophies this season, however, they are a few points below Barcelona in the La Liga, and it is looking almost impossible to catch up with their rivals.
Despite this, it can be said that they have enjoyed a wonderful season.
Real Madrid who are the UEFA Champions would be looking to add to their 14 UEFA Champions league trophies, while Pep Guardiola would be looking to win a Champions league trophy since his departure from Barcelona.
Both teams performed impressively in their last Champions league meeting last season. Manchester City defeated Real Madrid 4-3 in the first leg, and dominated the game.
Manchester City had a 60 percent possession, played 16 shots, out of which six were on target. Real Madrid on the other hand played 11 shots, out of which five were on target.
Manchester City suffered a surprising defeat to Real Madrid in the second half, after conceding three late goals. The Brasilian youngster, Rodrygo was the main reason Real Madrid emerged victorious in this fixture.
Despite their victory, it can be said that Manchester City also dominated the game. Manchester City had the highest possession and shots on target.
In these two games, it is obvious that Manchester City could have scored more goals, looking at the amount of shots played, however, the absence of a top striker lead to their downfall.
With the presence of Haaland, who currently has the highest number of goals this season, Real Madrid could end up suffering a huge defeat.
