It was completely a one-sided game for the Anfield Giants as they condemned Manchester United to a humiliating 7-0 defeat thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo, and Roberto Firmino.
Note that Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, and Cody Gakpo all netted braces in the game as they ran riot on this Manchester United team today.
Well, the only positive to take away from Manchester United’s disastrous performance was Raphael Varane’s class act at the end of the game to honour the disappointed Manchester United fans that came to the Anfield Stadium.
The French International was spotted at the final whistle shouting at his dejected teammates to applaud the Manchester United fans in the stadium.
Well, I believe his class act in this game shows he is a true leader in the Manchester United team. Despite Manchester United’s embarrassing defeat in the game, he still stood for the fans and made sure they earned their due respect for supporting them in the stadium. Raphael Varane definitely deserves to be applauded for this great gesture of his against Liverpool.
