Will Riggy G coiner lose job?
Chelimo, who got employed by the DP before graduating in 2022 for coining Riggy G, became a trending topic after her boss’ impeachment.
Netizens inquired whether she would lose her job after the DP went home, and she revealed that she was employed on contract; hence, that was impossible.

Chelimo responded:
“The latter.”
In an exclusive interview, a close source working for Gachagua’s office revealed that he had the PNP (permanent and pensionable) contract and would hence be re-deployed.
He also claimed that the DP’s office had faced numerous challenges recently, including resource allocation.
“It has been very challenging. Even in terms of resources. The thing is, even if the impeachment doesn’t sail through, the rest of the term is going to be very unstable. My job is safe. I am on permanent employment by the Government of Kenya. I will get redeployed to a different office?”
Did Gachagua get impeached?
In a contentious late-night voting session at the National Assembly on Tuesday, October 8, the lawmakers voted to confirm all 11 charges against the embattled deputy president.
Despite his hopes of surviving the impeachment motion, Gachagua fell short as the Kenya Kwanza Alliance MPs rallied enough support to remove him from office.
In his final orders, National Assembly Moses Wetang’ula said the vote outcome, having attained the two-thirds, was that the House resolved to impeach the deputy president.
