The Premier League is not Football Manager, however, as Merson recently informed Boehly, adding that it will take time until the performances and results improve.

To be honest, that didn’t surprise me yesterday. “They weren’t going to win right away, I didn’t think,” Merson remarked on Sky Sports.

“You understand that this is not a game of Football Manager! You can’t just put them all in one place and have them win. It’s going to be tough.

It will take time because there are many different languages and players who have played for their clubs in a variety of ways during their careers.

It depends on Todd Boehly’s capacity for patience.
