The Uruguay international has been unavailable for selection for the last two games for the Merseyside based outfit due to an unclarified injury, but it is expected that the Ex- Benfica will recover in time to start upfront for the Reds against the Blues.
Liverpool are still a large number of their first team stars, Roberto Firmino, Virgil Van Dijk, Arthur, Diogo Jota will all miss the game at the weekend with Kostas Tsimikas expected to re-assessed after he sustained a back injury in Liverpool’s FA Cup triumph against Wolves.
The return of Nunez will see Cody Gakpo moved to the left side of attack at the expense of Fabio Carvalho, while Former Chelsea winger, Mohamed Salah will operate off the right side of attack.
Harvey Elliott featured in the last match and delivered the winner at the Molineux, the youthful sensation will be confident of a starting berth ahead of Jordan Henderson & will be joined by the well rested, Fabinho & Thiago Alcantara in the engine room.
In Defence, Robertson will come in for the injured Tsimikas, with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip & Ibrahima Konate completing the back four in front of Brazil international, Allison Becker in between the goal post.
