In a distress post on Facebook, the woman recounted how she began dating a married man whose wife was struggling with infertility issues. According to the woman, the man was relatively well-off and could afford a comfortable lifestyle, although not excessively wealthy.
The relationship progressed, and the man pleaded with her to conceive a child for him. โHe loved me and took care of me. I ended up getting pregnant, and when his wife found out, she reacted in a way I didnโt expect,โ the woman said. The wife, who is an accountant, approached the situation with maturity and grace. She spoke to her like a mature woman and even promised to take care of her and the baby.
“She was incredibly kind and supportive, visiting me in the hospital when I delivered. She truly spoiled me during that time,โ the woman recounted. The wife even invited the woman to stay in her home, allowing her to live there without any animosity, despite the unconventional situation.
However, three years ago, the wife decided to relocate to Canada, leaving behind a series of financial and emotional challenges for the woman. She realized that the man’s wife was the backbone of their home when she sold everything they owned without her husbandโs knowledge.
Her partner had a huge loan for a car, which was repossessed, and hisย businessย collapsed because the wife had been running it. “Now he has left me with two kids, and she doesnโt even answer my calls anymore,โ the woman said, visibly distraught.
The situation worsened after the wife started a new life in Canada, where she remarried and had triplets with her new husband, a foreign national. Despite earlier promises to support the woman and her children, the wife has cut off all communication.
The woman now finds herself in poverty, raising two children she feels she was pressured into having. โIโm thinking of suing her. Is there any law in Kenya that would allow me to make her take care of us, as she had promised?” she asked.

She disclosed that she had been dating him for about four years, and she thought he was serious with her.
