President Muhammadu Buhari has nominated Mr Muazu Sambo from Taraba State as minister-designate. This was contained in a letter read by the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, at the upper chamber during plenary on Tuesday morning. He said the President wrote to the Senate seeking the confirmation of the nominee to replace the former Minister of Power, Sale Mamman, who was sacked in September, along with Sabo Nanono, ex-agriculture minister.
