Newly promoted club side, Nottingham Forest made headlines in the just concluded summer transfer window by signing 21 new players for the 2022/2023 English Premier league season. They also spent €161.95 million on these players. But this huge number acquisition is yet to translate to good result on the pitch.
Nottingham Forest’s performance so far this season has been very poor. In their 7 English Premier league matches played, they have only won 1, drew 1 and lost 5.
In their first league game of the season, they lost 2-0 to West Ham United, they went on to defeat West Ham United by a lone goal. They drew 1-1 with Everton FC in their match day 3 fixture and lost 2-0 to Tottenham Hotspur. Manchester City thrashed them 6-0 on match day 5 before losing again to Bournemouth 3-2. Just last night, Fulham defeated them by 3 goals to 2.
The team are now 19th on the English Premier league table with just 4 points despite all the huge investment. They could even go down to 20th in the table if Leicester City can defeat Tottenham Hotspur later today.
