Josephโs group has been terrorising the Haitian population, with their latest attack claiming 70 lives, one of the deadliest incidents in recent months.
The bounty, announced by the FBI on Friday, reflects the US governmentโs increasing commitment to support Haiti amid its escalating violence.
This comes as part of a broader effort to back the Kenya-led Multinational Security Support (MSS) mission, which aims to restore order in the gang-ravaged country.
On Thursday, just hours before the reward was declared, Gran Grif attacked the town of Pont-Sonde in western Haiti, using automatic weapons to massacre civilians.
The assault left 45 homes and 34 vehicles in flames, with many residents fleeing for their lives.
Haitiโs Prime Minister Garry Conille and the UN have vowed to crack down on the gangs, while the US Embassy reaffirmed its support for the MSS mission.
Kenya, leading the peacekeeping mission, has deployed 1,000 officers to help restore stability in the troubled nation.
