In an update on its official X account on Thursday, September 26, the airline said while the fuel provider had resolved the issue, it would affect services throughout the day.

Only flights from the airlineโ€™s Mombasa hub are operating on schedule.

Jambojet apologized for the inconvenience, adding that it was working round the clock to minimize the disruptions.

โ€œDue to a temporary disruption in fuel supply at JKIA, our morning flights are delayed. Our fuel provider has resolved the issue and we are now fueling ready for boarding. Unfortunately, this will affect our service throughout the day,โ€ the airline said.

This comes two weeks after Jambojet suspended all flights at JKIA due to the strike by aviation workers protesting the proposed lease of the airport to Indiaโ€™s Adani Group.

The strike, initiated by the Kenya Airport Workers Union (KAWU), began at midnight on September 11, 2024, and resulted in significant disruptions, stranding hundreds of passengers as flights were canceled or delayed.

In a statement, Jambojet advised customers to postpone travel plans until further notice, expressing regret for the inconvenience caused by these disruptions.

โ€œJambojet wishes to notify guests of flight disruptions due to the ongoing strike by airport workers. All our flights, scheduled to land and take off from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) are hereby on hold until further notice,โ€ Jambojet said in a statementโ€ฆCLICK HERE TO READ MORE ARTICLES>>>
