Dembele, a former Barcelona player, said the booing will not change his ‘love’ for the Catalan club, adding that it is life and he understands the fans.

The Frenchman, who left Barcelona last summer, helped PSG overturn a one-goal deficit and progress to the semi-finals of the Champions League at the expense of his former club.

Barcelona took a slender lead from the first leg in Paris and looked in control of the tie when Raphinha scored.

But goals from Dembele, Vitinha and Kylian Mbappe gave the French Ligue 1 side a 6-4 aggregate win.

Asked about the reception he received from the Barcelona fans, Dembele told Canal+: “The welcome given to me? I experienced it very well because I already experienced it in 2021, of being whistled here in Barcelona.
