The Blues extended their advantage when Palmer confidently converted a penalty after Marc Cucurella was fouled.

However, Manchester United swiftly responded to Chelsea’s dominance.

They clawed their way back into the game before halftime, with Garnacho capitalizing on a mistake by Moises Caicedo to score, followed by a well-placed header from Bruno Fernandes to level the score.
