The leaders, who are All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains, converged on Ikeja, Lagos, to offer the prayers for the president. They also urged Nigerians to support his administration and be patient, adding: “We must realise that Tinubu came on board at a very critical moment.”

The special prayer session was attended by members of the group across the 20 local councils and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), members of the House of Assembly, House of Representatives, former state lawmakers, former federal lawmakers, former Minister of Works, Senator Adeseye Ogunleye, Senator Ganiyu Solomon, Islamic and Christian clerics.

The Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, said: ”For Tinubu to clock 72 as the president of Nigeria remains a joy to Lagos APC. Today is a special for us in celebrating our leader, our father, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as he marks his 72nd birthday.”

“It is not just his 72nd birthday but as the president of Nigeria .We strongly believe collectively that it is worthy of giving glory to God.”

The Chief of Staff to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Mr Tayo Ayinde, said the Mandate Movement would continue to stand by the president, adding that Tinubu has shown capacity and competence.

Ayinde added that the prayer session was necessary to celebrate Tinubu’s birthday and pray for his continuous success in the running of the country’s affairs.

He expressed confidence that Tinubu would lay a strong foundation for the country’s development and that his successor after eight years would continue from there.
