The former society matriarch, now a minister of the gospel, has allegedly separated from her spouse, according to The Will newpaper.
According to sources quoted in the report, the couple has been facing frequent disagreements, ultimately resulting in their decision to live separately.
Modupe Alakija is said to no longer spend nights in the couple’s highbrow Ikoyi residence in Lagos. The alleged strain in their marriage has led Folorunsho Alakija to demand utmost privacy, prompting her husband to seek accommodation elsewhere within the Ikoyi neighborhood.
While the reasons behind the reported marital discord remain undisclosed, insiders suggest that the couple has been putting up a united front due to their status in Nigerian society.
