Kidney disease if ignored for a long time can prove fatal. The progression of kidney diseases can always be prevented if you get a hint of its onset.

Certain common symptoms can easily indicate whether you have kidney disease or are most likely to get one soon. Here are a few common symptoms that suggest that your kidneys are not functioning properly.

1. Fatigue

If you are feeling tired and lethargic for unknown reasons then it can be an indication that your kidneys are not functioning to their full potential.

Kidneys perform the function of removing toxins and impurities from your blood. When its performance slows down, toxins start building up in your blood and fatigue takes over.

2. Sleeplessness

3. Urine Issues

When kidneys are unable to filter the waste properly it leads to the retention of sodium which ultimately causes swelling in feet and ankles.

While it is also an indication that your liver or heart is not functioning properly or you have chronic leg vein problems, it does indicate that you indeed have a serious health issue at hand.
