But let’s talk about ostriches. There’s this myth going around that when they’re scared, they bury their heads in the sand. Nope, not true at all. Ostriches are no scaredy-cats.
They’re big and fast birds, not to be messed with. Their legs are like weapons, super strong and can kick really hard. So, it’s best to steer clear of them when they’re feeling threatened.
Both mom and dad ostriches take care of their babies, even when danger is near. Now, that’s not something a coward would do, right? The dad tries to lead the trouble away while mom hustles the chicks to safety.
Sure, from far away, it might look like ostriches bury their heads in the ground. But actually, they’re just digging holes for their eggs. They’re pretty clever about it, using their beaks to move the eggs around.
And when they lie down with their heads low, it’s not because they’re scared. They’re just trying to blend in with their surroundings. Smart move, not cowardly at all!
