7. Gunmen have abducted Rev Fr. Emmanuel Azubuike, the parish priest of St Theresa’s Catholic Parish in Obollo Community, Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State. It was gathered on Wednesday that the victim was abducted on Tuesday night along the Ayayi community when he was returning from an assignment, according to church authorities.

8. The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has killed two armed robbers during a gun duel and arrested four in the Jahi area of the nation’s capital. Also, no fewer than five car snatchers were arrested and 13 stolen vehicles recovered during the operations conducted by the scorpion squad of the FCT command.

9. Combined security operatives have reportedly neutralised four gunmen suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra and its armed militia, the Eastern Security Network. The operation took place in the early hours of Wednesday at Eha Alumona in Nsukka Local Government Area.

10. The Zone 16 Police Command on Wednesday disclosed that it detained officers who were involved in the extortion of N10 million.
