Kenneth Udo, the Service Public Relations Officer, stated that Bobrisky is a โ€œperson of interestโ€ amid ongoing investigations, including potential bribery allegations and a money laundering case.

Social media activist Martins Otse reported Bobrisky’s arrest, linking it to efforts to evade scrutiny from the House of Representatives.

He claimed that leaked audio recordings implicated Bobrisky in corruption, suggesting he bribed prison officials to avoid serving his sentence fully.

An investigative panel previously dismissed claims that Bobrisky enjoyed special privileges while incarcerated.

The panel found that he was transferred between different prisons during his six-month sentence but did not stay outside prison as alleged.

However, it revealed irregularities in documentation during his transfers.

Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has promised that the findings will not be ignored and that those implicated will face disciplinary action.

According to Vanguard, he emphasized the need for reform within the Nigerian correctional system to ensure it serves as a rehabilitative rather than punitive environment.

The Minister assured the public that transparency would prevail, stating, โ€œThis is the era of business unusual,โ€ signaling a commitment to accountability and change within the serviceโ€ฆCLICK HERE TO READ MORE ARTICLES>>>
