Uhuru Hasn’t Met Them: Kioni on Uhuru Meeting Gachagua During Impeachment Plot

Addressing the press at Jubilee offices in Nairobi, Kioni clarified that the former Head of State had yet to meet either the President or the Deputy President as alleged.

The former Ndaragwa MP further clarified that Uhuru Kenyatta did not forgive DP Gachagua as claimed by the second in command during his recent rallies.

While clarifying the matter, Kioni called on the deputy president to stop dragging the former Head of State’s name into his fallout with President Ruto.

“Anyone going around the country claiming that he asked for forgiveness and has been forgiven is a liar. Uhuru has not met any of them and has not held any discussions with them,” Kioni stated.

“Did they seek permission when they were abusing him? Then why are they engaging him now? Let them not drag Uhuru into their menace,” he added.

The Jubilee Secretary General, however, disclosed that it was impossible to impeach DP Gachagua.

Kioni reiterated that parliamentarians did not have the adequate numbers to instigate the impeachment of the deputy president as alleged.

“There are many who will be saying yes, there are those who will be saying no and there are those who will abstain,” Kioni stated.

The Jubilee principal’s sentiments came hardly three days after Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua declared President Uhuru Kenyatta the undisputed Mt Kenya kingpin.

Speaking during an interview onCitizen TV, Gachagua hinted at burying the hatchet with the former Head of State.

While reiterating the matter, Gachagua openly expressed regret

over his past actions where he openly attacked and rebelled against Uhuru and the larger Kenyatta family.

“Myself and the mountain people, feel very bad that we punished Uhuru Kenyatta. We demeaned him, we told him off, we embarrassed him for telling us that Raila Odinga is a good man. And we were very brutal with him, and we hammered him,” Gachagua said…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE ARTICLES>>>
