According to Kuria, some leaders from the Mt Kenya backyard did not key in the political ramifications that would befall them after the decision to enter the coalition agreement deal with President William Ruto to form the Kenya Kwanza coalition.

Kuria cited key political figures from the region who, according to him, warned Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua about going into the elections without a political party, including Martha Karua and Mwangi wa Iria.

‘’Dr Thuo Mathenge No Wanguku, William Kabogo, Peter Munya, Mwangi wa Iria, Martha Karua warned you about going into elections without a political party,’’ Kuria stated.

The advisor known for his forays into Kenya’s politics, who had initially warned the impeached Gachagua over his position in government, asked the leaders who did not listen to him to forget about the government as they moved into the opposition.

According to Kuria, Deputy President nominee Kithure Kindiki will take over his role without protests. He also urged them to forget about him joining them in opposing the government over the decision to phase out some prominent figures from the region from senior positions within the United Democratic Alliance(UDA).

‘’You fought us like a monitor lizard. Now you want us to cry with you into the opposition. Forget! We have moved on. Prof Kithure Kindiki is the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya,’’ he added.

Kuria’s statement came as a political shocker since he acknowledged some of his political opponents who he faced off at the 2022 elections when the likes of Karua, Munya, and Wa Iria campaigned for the opposition.

Kuria in August this year, took a swipe at Gachagua over his isolationist politics that stood to polarise the region from other parts of the country.

“I want to tell my people of Mt Kenya, let no one deceive you that we can isolate ourselves. There is beauty and sweetness in bringing all Kenyans together,” Moses Kuria stated.

In September this year, he also accused some key senior figures in the government from the region over what he termed as influencing for his expulsion from the government.

‘’You pressed President Ruto repeatedly to have me fired. When you failed you succeeded in having me transferred from the Ministry of Investments, Trade & Industry because you thought my efforts in poverty reduction, jobs creation and wealth creation were too dangerous for your plans,’’ Kuria shared…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE ARTICLES>>>
