All eyes were on the President at the newly constructed Kwale Stadium where he presided over Mashujaa Day celebrations in the absence of the ousted Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

During the entertainment session, the duo behind the hit song known as Wadagliz was given the stage to perform arguably the biggest song of 2024, and they did not disappoint.

At some point during their performance, the President, who was clearly entertained by the performance, stood up and was seen moving to the catchy phrase.

Interestingly, theAnguka Nayohit, which has over 7.8 million views on YouTube, was released in July, when the tensions between the youth and Kenya Kwanza government were at an all-time high.

The song was composed at the time coinciding with Gen-Z protests pushing to have the controversial Finance Bill scrapped. It was later perceived as the protest’s anthem.

A week ago, ousted DP Rigathi Gachagua also treated Kenyans to a rare side of him after he was spotted doing the Anguka Nayo dance alongside a famous Asian influencer.

At the time (October 13), Gachagua was in the midst of a fierce battle against his impeachment. He however made some time to stroll through a mall in Karen, where he interacted with some of his supporters in the company of his wife Dorcas.

Tens of his supporters who spotted him gathered around in a bid to get a photo with one of the most popular figures in Kenyan politics.
