Making love can improve your heart function, lower your stress and anxiety levels, reduce aches and so much more.

Unfortunately, some seemingly innocent habits before and after sex could cause problems in the sack, ruining your healthy fun. Here are five things to avoid if you’re going to get intimate.

1. Don’t Run To The Bathroom For A Quick Shave.

If you shave your legs or bikini area, it might be tempting to run to the bathroom for a quick pre-sex touch-up. But trust me when I say the consequences are not worth it.

“Shaving and trimming may land you with irritation and discomfort,” according to “Healthline”.

Instead, try to remember to shave the day before. Or simply go forth confidently with your hairy self.

2. Don’t eat a huge meal.

You might be on a date at the most amazing restaurant ever, but if you’re trying to get frisky upon leaving, stick to digestible portions.

Not only can eating too much cause you to be bloated and, well, not totally in the mood to move around, but it can also be a problem sexually.

Both men and women need blood to flow to their sexual organs, and if the body is digesting a large meal, the blood is going there instead of other places.

3. Don’t Eat Super Spicy Foods Or A Meal High In Fat.

If you’re planning to have sex, tone it down on the hot sauce.

Spicy foods like curry and peppers can trigger symptoms of acid reflux, including heartburn, and a burning sensation in the throat; this may make it difficult to get in the mood.

And if your body is sensitive to fiery foods, you may not be able to hold in farts or burps.

4. Don’t Take An Antihistamine.

Feeling stuffy? You may want to hold off on taking cough and cold meds if you’re planning to get busy later.

While antihistamines help dry up runny noses, that’s not the only thing that’s going to dry up.

Women may notice that their vaginas are less lubricated, too, since these drugs cause mucous membranes to dry up all over the body.
