These include:
1. More APC Governors and Senators should be invited to join PDP
Senator Ayu should woo APC governors to the PDP, which will strengthen the PDP and increase its chances of defeating the APC in 2023.
Senator Ayu should woe Governors especially those who govern states with significant voting strength like Kano. This will increase the chances of the PDP in 2023.
Ayu should also woo Senators and Members of the National Assembly especially those ones with problems with their State Governors who are likely to lost out if they remain in APC. This will give PDP edge over APC.
2. Social Investment Program
Senator Ayu should convince PDP Governors and stakeholders to contribute money on a monthly basis and start up a social investment program for the youths of the country.
By so doing, the effect of the APC social investment program on voters’ decisions will be watered down and this will give room for PDP to gain more votes at the general elections.
3. Encourage youths’ participation in politics.
Senator Ayu and the entire PDP should encourage youth participation in politics. Youth make up a sizable proportion of the country’s voting population.
If this is done, the PDP will be more appealing to the youths who constitute the bulk of the voting population.
4. Ayu should provide an enabling environment for everyone.
The PDP chairman should provide an enabling environment for all to participate in the democratic process. It should not just be about big names.
People who don’t necessarily have money but are popular should be allowed to fly the party’s flag. A candidate of this caliber will increase the PDP’s chances of winning the Presidential election and other elections .
