Below are several simple and successful methods for couples to avoid pregnancy without using condoms.

1. sponge.

The contraceptive sponge is comprised of spermicide-infused polyurethane foam. The sponge is inserted into the female organ to prevent the uterus from being accessed. This will protect you from pregnancy and STDs by 88-90%.

2. diaphragm.

According to healthline a diaphragm is a birth control barrier that is implanted inside the female organ. Before use, spermicide should be applied to the diaphragm. These are claimed to be 90% effective. STDs are not prevented by this.

3. Patches.

4. Intra uterine Devices.

This is a little gadget that a doctor implants in the uterus and consists of two parts:

i. Hormonal: once fitted, this can last up to five years. It prevents sperm from entering the uterus by thickening the cervical mucus.

ii. Copper: This iud is covered in copper and can last up to ten years. This iud kills sperm that attempt to enter the uterus.
