However, it is well established that it can have detrimental effects on the retina and optical nerves, which can lead to blindness if not treated properly.
2. Isotretinoin
Formerly known as absorica, this ingredient is now commonly used to treat acne. There are a wide variety of negative consequences that can result from this drug’s misuse. Signs of possible blindness include dry eyes, sensitivity to bright light, and other symptoms.
3. Amiodarone
When a patient has been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, this drug is prescribed to normalize the heart rate and rhythm. Amiodarone is a highly successful medicine for treating this disease, but it carries the potential for causing permanent damage to the optic nerve and blindness.
4. Flomax
Most patients who could benefit from this medicine would have benign prostatic hyperplasia. However, this medicine should be used with caution; no one should take it without a prescription or under the guidance of a medical practitioner.
