Inter Miami were recently crowned the best team in the Major Soccer League (MLS). Not only did they win the Supportersโ Shield, they also set a new record for most points in a single MLS season (74). Two players who played a huge role in this success was Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. However, they were beaten to the MLS Golden Boot by a former English Premier League striker, Christian Benteke. The Belgium forward plays for D.C United and scored 23 goals in 30 matches to clinch the top scorers award.
Benteke, 33, played for Aston Villa, Liverpool and Crystal Palace. In 2022 he moved to the MLS to play for D.C United.
