Erik ten Hag’s team got back to winning form in the Premier League over the weekend, with a 2-1 victory against Brentford. However, they have not yet won a match in the new league phase of the Europa League.

In their last Europa League game, United had a thrilling 3-3 draw in Lisbon against FC Porto, a team with a strong attack. This was another disappointment after dropping points in their first game, a 1-1 draw against FC Twente at Old Trafford.

Despite this, United are still considered favorites to secure their first win in the Europa League and finally kickstart their campaign after two draws. Manchester United are facing an injury crisis, with the likes of Kobbie Maino, Mason Mount, and Leny Yoro still sidelined.

Ahead of the game, Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes won’t be part of the team after picking up a straight red card against Porto in Portugal. Eriksen could play in his role while Manuel Ugarte returns to the starting lineup after coming in the second half of the Brentford game.
