These included furnished single cells, access to a fridge and television, and a designated inmate to run errands for him.

The panel was established by Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo to address allegations that Bobrisky served his six-month sentence outside prison.

According to Tribune, Bobrisky was sentenced for Naira abuse, and claims emerged that he bribed Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) officials to dismiss money laundering charges.

In its report, the panel cleared him of spending his sentence outside prison, citing insufficient evidence.

The investigation highlighted failures in proper documentation during Bobrisky’s transfers between different custodial facilities in Lagos, indicating violations of Nigerian Correctional Service guidelines.

The report noted that the documentation for his transfers was provided only after significant delays and was backdated.

Additionally, the panel emphasized the need for clear guidelines to prevent discriminatory practices based on an inmate’s socio-economic status.
