Although he admits to still feeling weak, he believes he can manage the discomfort at home.

Gachagua alleges that President William Ruto intended to harm him due to the circumstances surrounding his illness and the treatment he received from the government.

He claims that all of his security personnel were withdrawn, along with the government property he owned.

He also expressed that his condition could have been life-threatening had he delayed seeking medical attention by even 20 minutes.

Despite these challenges, Gachagua maintains that he remains the deputy president of Kenya, citing stay orders issued by two judges from Kirinyaga and Milimani Law Courts, respectively.

He also stated that he was ready to defend his case since the 11 counts were just ‘malice’.

“I was ready for cross-examination, the 11 counts are nothing but malice. It was a political game by the president to get rid of me. I do not think the president had any intention of working with me.
