On Saturday, October 12, Kuria was badly booed at SNL Lounge in Githurai 44 during the launch of “MBECA” by Mugithi’s youngster Tony Young. The charged revellers became hostile after the organisers invited Kuria on stage to make his speech.

Kuria, who is currently the president’s economic advisor, was forced to cut short his speech after the determined crowd started chanting anti-Ruto slogans.

The crowd chanted “Ruto must go” slogans until the former CS cut short his speech. Elsewhere, Governor Susan Kihikaย faced a hostile crowdย on Friday, October 11, while attending a funeral in Bibilioni village,ย Bahatiย Constituency.

The county chief was met with hostility from mourners who refused to allow her to read Rutoโ€™s condolence message in honour of the late Henry Gachie, brother of Bahati MP Irene Njoki.

Kihika’s tribulations come amid the raging debate on Gachagua’s impeachment, which has elicited reactions among Mt Kenya voters.

However, the burial ceremony quickly became a platform for expressing discontent towards theย Kenyaย Kwanza administration and leaders.

Kihika smoothly delivered her speech, and as she attempted to deliver the president’s message, her words were drowned out by loud boos and jeers, reflecting a growing discontent in the grassroots.

Struggling to make her voice heard, Kihika told the impatient crowd that Rutoโ€™s message was intended for the grieving family, but her efforts were met with more jeersโ€ฆCLICK HERE TO READ MORE ARTICLES>>>ย
