Sources indicate that the President has repeatedly hinted at his intention to work closely with Western leaders in a new line-up ahead of the upcoming 2027 general elections.
More sources claim that after Mudavadi takes the oath of office as the new Deputy President, the President will eliminate the Prime Cabinet Secretary role.
However, the move is still being debated after several Mt. Kenya leaders wanted CS Interior Kithure Kindiki to be given the position.
The deliberations also see a cabinet reshuffle that will accommodate more Azimio members in the Kenya Kwanza Government.
Kenya Kwanza is considering forming a significant alliance with Nyanza and Western leaders to advance the 2027 agenda. However, many believe that Mt Kenyaโs support for Kenya Kwanza is nearly complete.
Sources from Mt Kenya East are pressing Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro to change course and pursue a national role.
Rigathi Gachagua leads Mt. Kenya West, and CS Kithure Kindiki leads Mt. Kenya East.
According to a media interview in Kerugoya, Kirinyaga County, the majority stated that the President has succeeded in dividing the leadership of the region, but the majority of them will not get their seats come 2027.
