In a statement, Kebaso acknowledged that some of his supporters did not show up for him in times of trouble admitting that he needed a solution to better mobilise his supporters, hence the decision to take a break.

“I am taking a small break to restrategize. I have a problem that needs a solution. Most of my supporters cheer me online but when I am in trouble they never show up. I need a new strategy on how to mobilise my loyal supporters to have my back whenever I am under attack,” he stated.

“The attacks have intensified and the police have become smart, they do it on days when there is something big happening so that it goes unnoticed.โ€

“Thatโ€™s why I need a break. I am genuinely fighting for Kenya but I need Kenya to fight for me. Therefore, I need to find a way to convince Kenya to fight for me,โ€ he added.

The drastic decision is not without merit since Kebaso has been plagued withย several challengesย over the past few weeks.

So far, Kebaso has been arrested twice over what his supporters believe to be bogus charges, seemingly confirmed by how fast the first cyber harassment charge was thrown out with the main plaintiff, David Langat, denying his involvement in the indictment.

On Friday during the Public Participation exercise regarding the impeachment of DP Gachagua, Kebaso was also attacked by delegates at the Bomas and denied the microphone to address the crowd.

Following this altercation, he released a video two days ago airing his concerns that the National Intelligence Service (NIS) hadย embedded a moleย in his team and attributed that to suspicious incidents that had been happening to him for weeks.

He cited his accident in Embu a few weeks ago as one of the incidents that sparked his suspicion. Upon conducting a background search, his team was unable to trace the owner of the vehicle as it was not registered to an individual but a non-existent company.

In the same video, he went on to explain that he had started to take his security more seriously as any time he announced his whereabouts, the details would be leaked and bad things would happen. He believed the mole was someone not only in his team but also very close to him as there had also been an attempt to poison his food as well.

Kebaso further urged Kenyans to raise concerns over any of his team members’ suspicious activities and he assured them that he would vet every member of his team to ensure there were no unscrupulous people in his team selling him out to the authorities. He also urged them toย contribute towards his private securityย as it was expensive.

Just a day ago, Kebaso was arrested once again for behaving in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace by uttering the words โ€˜Kufa Dereva Kufa Makangaโ€™ at the Bomas of Kenya the day he was attackedโ€ฆCLICK HERE TO READ MORE ARTICLES>>>
